Formerly a salon for Yale Students, the Glass House was designed in the 1940s by the controversial, yet brilliant, architect Philip Johnson. Just opened for public exhibition last summer, the Glass House is the centerpiece of Johnson's estate and is considered by many architects to be his masterpiece.
